Intel 8008为世界上第一款八位元处理器。由Intel从1972年中到1983年推出，共有两种速度，0.5 Mhz以及0.8 Mhz，虽然比4004的工作时脉慢，不过因为是八位元处理器（比起4004的四位元），整体效能要比4004好上许多。8008可以支援到16KB的记忆体。C8008是比较珍贵的紫色陶瓷镀金接脚版本，D8008则是后期出的量产版。[1]
